Frequently asked questions about Skill Intelligence.

Where does the data in the Scrambl. database come from?

We source our data from various public sources on the Swiss labour market, information from education providers, as well as official occupational registers and taxonomies. The database is continuously expanded and updated.

How up to date is the database?

The Scrambl. database is continuously expanded and maintained. New job profiles, skills, and courses of study are added regularly. It is not a static system.

Is the database limited to Switzerland?

The focus is on Switzerland and the DACH region. The database is deliberately not built as generic and international, but tailored to the realities of the local labour market.

Can I use Skill Intelligence standalone?

Yes. You can use Skill Intelligence via API or direct database access for your own use cases.

What exactly does Scrambl. Skill Intelligence cover?

Skill Intelligence connects job titles, education, degrees, occupations, skills, and industries in one coherent data model. This means you can not only look up individual terms, but also recognise the relationships between them.

How are the individual data points connected to each other?

The entities – including occupations, skills, education & industries – are not stored in isolation, but connected through relationships. This allows the system to recognise overlapping competencies, related occupations, and skill neighbourhoods, even when the terms used differ.

Which languages are supported?

Skill Intelligence is designed for the multilingual Swiss market and is fully available in German, French, Italian and English. Skills are merged across languages, so the same competency is recognised regardless of the input language.

Can Skill Intelligence be mapped to common standards such as ESCO?

Yes. A mapping exists to both ESCO and O*NET. This allows our Switzerland-specific depth of data to be connected with internationally established frameworks.

How is Skill Intelligence integrated technically?

Integration happens via the Scrambl. API. Depending on the setup, different API variants are available. The solution fits flexibly into existing systems and processes.

What about data protection and data security?

Data protection is a design principle at Scrambl., not added afterwards. We meet the requirements of the revised FADP and GDPR and consider the protection of your data from the very first concept phase ("privacy by design").

What use cases is Skill Intelligence suitable for?

Scrambl. Skill Intelligence is suitable for all use cases in recruiting, employee development, statistical analysis, and market analysis. Through full integration of education data, Skill Intelligence can follow careers from education all the way to retirement.

How can I try out Skill Intelligence?

The easiest way is in a short conversation, where we analyse your use case and define the right approach. Schedule a no-obligation appointment for this.
